Hoochie Koo’s
goal is to motivate and stimulate - to play great music that gets crowds dancing and having a fun time.  Hoochie Koo’s song list is diverse and dynamic, focused on upbeat rock and pop hits, as well as a lot of songs people love but don't hear played that often.  The band delivers very strong vocal and musical performances, and has an obvious passion for playing live.  They take pride in their presentation, and they get behind every song they play, putting all their energy into each live show.

Hoochie Koo members’ previous bands include: Mt. Olive, The Crisis, Surf Boys/Class of ‘62, The Pulltops, Udi Subudi, Backbeat X, Mind Games, Freckles & the Hostages, Five Alarm Fire, Barry’s Truckers, Vaud Villian and many others. The band has countless shows and many decades of experience under their belts, having played festivals, picnics, clubs and other venues across the Midwest and beyond.   Hoochie Koo currently enjoys playing all across the great Badger State - look for them at an event near you soon

11/21/11 - HOOCHIE KOO ANNOUNCES NEW DRUMMER
After an exhaustive 2011 search for a permanent full-time drummer, Hoochie Koo is proud to announce the addition of Scooter Luv to the band.

Scooter started playing the drums when he was 10 years old.  He also plays trombone and a little piano (the piano is normal size, he just doesn't play it much).  Scooter studied Music Performance at UW Parkside in the 1980s, was a member of the Jazz Ensemble there, and one of his concert highlights was performing a drum duet with Ed Shaughnessy, who at the time was the drummer in Doc Severinsen’s Tonight Show Band

For the past nine years, Scooter has played with the popular Mt. Olive.  Over his 20+ year career as a musician, Scooter has performed with many other popular bands in SE WI, including Strike 3, Oop Bop Sha' Bam, Classic Avenue, Surf Boys/Class of ’62, Backbeat X, Freckles & The Hostages, Really Big, Barry’s Truckers, and more.  While performing with these bands, Scooter has entertained audiences at almost every church festival and firemen's picnic in the area, and he has performed at one time or another on every stage on the Summerfest grounds.

When not performing, Scooter enjoys and supports live music of all styles and genres.  Scooter shares the band's enthusiasm for learning new songs (fans will hear a great deal of new material played at upcoming shows), and he’s looking forward to his first show with The Koo on Friday, December 2 at The Bridge Inn in Grafton.  Please join us in welcoming Scooter to the band!
